2233 Kuznetsov (1972 XE1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on 3 December 1972 by L. V. Zhuravleva at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. It was named after Nikolai Ivanovich Kuznetsov (1911–44), a Russian intelligence agent, WWII partisan, and posthumous Hero of the Soviet Union.
